Issue

I am using the "Keyboard Console" and flow control setting "Manual". Even though the RTS lamp is off, the RTS line on my connector goes high after typing characters.

Applies to: Docklight Scripting V1.6 (build V1.6.8)

Solution

Unfortunately, this is a bug in the V1.6.8 release - the RTS line will always go high when typing characters using the "Keyboard Console" function. See below for an updated Docklight Scripting release (V1.7). NOTE: Docklight Scripting V1.7 uses the Windows RTS_CONTROL_TOGGLE mode for serial devices, instead of controlling the RTS signal manually. This improves the RTS timing and solves some issues with previous Docklight versions, but some communication devices, especially USB-to-Serial converters, do not support this mode properly.
